Ukraine to discuss Donbass security issue at Normandy Four meeting

Kiev plans to raise the issue of observing the ceasefire regime in Donbass at the upcoming meeting of the Normandy Four group at the level of foreign ministers, Ukraine’s top diplomat Pavlo Klimkin said on Friday.
“The number of shellings has again grown. This needs to be brought to an end. Security is the main condition. I will demand this at the foreign ministerial meeting in the Normandy format,” Ukraine’s foreign minister wrote in his Twitter microblog.
The meeting of the Normandy Four group (Russia, France, Germany and Ukraine) at the level of foreign ministers is expected to be held in the second week of February, Klimkin said earlier this week. The talks may take place in Paris, he said, adding: “The date and venue of the meeting and the agenda will be determined next week.”
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov earlier said that the “Normandy Four” ministerial meeting could be held on February 8. “It is to be held in the near future. Maybe even on February 8, the Chinese New Year, the ministerial meeting is planned.” “So far, the date has not been determined yet.”
